Join our highly engaged team of Registered Nurses in the Labor and Delivery Department at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. The Labor and Delivery RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning, and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. With quality patient and family-centered care in mind, the RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.
This position is full time (72 hours per pay period), 12-hour shifts, nights, and located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego.
Minimum of one (1) year of acute care RN experience in a Labor and Delivery department.
Ability to speak, read, and follow instructions in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Current CA RN License.
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association for Healthcare Provider.
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring.
Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
