The company operates within the Health Care sector.Executive Leadership:Leads the SFDPH IT Department; develops and recommends information technology policies and innovations for Director of Health and Health Commission approval; collaborates with the Director of Health, Health Commission, and the City's Department of Technology on strategies to implement information technology-related policies and initiatives that advance San Franciscos Public Health goals.Forward-thinking with Strong Implementation Skills:Annually updates theIT Departments mission and vision to reflect the SFDPHs business and service-oriented culture and mindset; leads the development of the IT Departments strategy and roadmap, and ensures its integration with the SFDPHs strategic planning process; ensures a consistent framework and governance structure.Operational Responsibilities:Recruits, develops, and maintains a workforce to meet strategic priorities; provides leadership, coaching, and direction to the IT Departments Leadership team and staff; promotes the IT Departments training program with various community organizations; serves on enterprise planning and policy-making committees; and drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes, and performance metrics to ensure consistent value delivery.Collaborative Manager:Builds and maintains effective relationships with SFDPH and City executives, as well as business unit leaders; improves the IT Departments capabilities by using a multitude of resources, both internally and externally; directs the development of an IT sourcing strategy; and provides executive oversight of strategic vendor and partner relationship management.Administrative Excellence:Utilizes effective influencing and negotiation skills to find ways to partner across the SFDPH and the City to ensure cost-effective and creative shared solutions; responds with agility to changing business priorities; develops and controls the IT Departments annual operating and capital expenditure budgets to ensure they are consistent with overall strategic objectives; and promotes continuous process improvement in coordination with the SFDPH Lean Kaizen promotion office.Information Technology Excellence:Provides creative strategic direction which includes experimenting with new solutions to fulfill the digital business strategy; leads and ensures the effective operation of a robust cyber-security program and business continuity plan; and provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs that include the management of enterprise architecture, applications, security and risk, infrastructure and operations, and service support to achieve desired ambitious positioning. Possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university;ANDFour (4) years (equivalent to 8,000 hours) of managerial information technology experience, including high-level financial/budgetary responsibility. At least two (2) years of the qualifying managerial experience must be in a healthcare setting.NOTE: All qualifying experience must include supervising employees.
