Oncotype Dx - Breast Recurrence Score, Genomic Health's flag ship product is considered gold standard in many countries around the world. While today test-services are performed centrally in Redwood City, CA, Genomic Health is currently developing an IVD solution together with its partner Biocartis to support local use of Oncotype Dx with a market introduction foreseen in 2020. In addition, Genomic Health is developing a growing portfolio of products to guide treatment decisions in prostate cancer with the lead product Oncotype Dx GPS in the phase of roll-out across the international region.
Genomic Health' International organization, which covers all markets outside the US is considered a growth driver of the overall organization expected to deliver strong double-digit growth over the following years. To manage this organizational evolution Genomic Health is looking to fill the position of a Senior Director Finance International.
The SENIOR DIRECTOR FINANCE INTERNATIONAL is acting as the Head of Finance for Genomic Health' International organization and will serve as a Finance Business Partner to the SVP Intl.. He will be tasked by managing all functional requirements and by closely collaborating with her/his colleagues in Redwood City will help define requirements for the finance organization and systems to facilitate continued and accelerated growth of the Intl. organization within the Finance organization. Reporting to the VP Finance in Redwood City, this position also directly manages the Intl. accounting, billing activities and other related duties as assigned. He/she will orchestrate the budget and forecasting process together with his Intl. Finance team and will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our International distributor and partnership network in helping to define the framework for the further evolution of these relationships both for the current business model but also for the introduction of the localized IVD solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Oversee financial operation across international organization ensuring compliance with all local and Us requirements
Establish close working relationship with SVP Intl.
Manage and provide ongoing training to the finance team
Represent Finance Function in Intl. Management Team
Orchestrate development of meaningful reporting for enhanced business transparency including score cards and financial plan and projection process in Intl.
Establish budgets and support development of Long Range Plan (LRP) for Intl.
Preparation of internal financial reports for Intl. management
Represent Finance function on International Pricing Committee
Work with VP Finance on all Intl treasury related matters
Lead periodic financial forecast updates for Intl; including formal mid-year re-forecast.
Provide business analysis support for future opportunities in Intl.
Support distributor relationships and development of future distributor strategy
Provide expertise in setting up operations in new markets/countries (e.g. Japan)
Provide expertise in any system or process modifications in close collaboration with colleagues in RWC (IT, Accounting, Forecasting etc.) together with his/her team to make them serve the needs and requirements of the Intl. organization
Recruit, lead, manage and develop Intl. personnel to meet demands of a growing business
A minimum of 10 years experience in leading financial teams in multi-national global organizations in both country and regional roles
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about the role of finance in supporting the company's strategy and its expansion in Intl. locations
Previous experience in working as a business partner with commercial functions
Has demonstrated the ability to manage and develop teams and individuals within the team
Experience in systems development and roll-out
Prior involvement in M&A activities and partnership relationships including distributors a plus
Relevant experience with international pharmaceutical or medical device/IVD companies a plus
Worked with a product-based company with experience in issues involving revenue recognition, billing & collections, product costing & planning, inventory maintenance, and sales force reporting.
Coordinating external accounting relationships
Strong interpersonal skills and responsiveness to others
An ability to multitask, work independently and meet multiple deadlines as required.
An ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong communicator with ability to maintain open communication with internal employees, managers partners, and customers as needed

Working Knowledge of US GAAP desired
Strong presentation and writing skills in English
Strong knowledge of other European languages a plus
Willing to travel up to 30% to the US and within Europe; travel to Asia and LATAM in scope.
Position will be based in Geneva, Switzerland
Valid work permit for Switzerland required
